Even though I see spider webs all the time, whenever I stop and look closely at a good one, I am amazed at the delicacy and graceful beauty of the devious constructs. Most of the time, I don’t even see them, but luckily, this one was obvious, being backlit by the morning sun.
Often as we walk our trail I run right into the beginnings of a spider web at face level. I have no idea how the spider managed to span the 5 ft (1.5 m.) distance between the trees. It’s all too amazing.
