The Butt Plant

Every day we take our dog Skye out for a walk.  Often during those walks I get the feeling that Skye would just a soon be back home snoozing on the nice comfortable bed.  Sometimes it feels like instead of us doing the walk for her, she is doing us a favor by going on the walk.
She is a fairly tolerant dog and usually goes along with our wishes, but every so often she reaches the end of her tolerance, and when we throw the ball ahead of us, she runs and grabs it and races past us with the ball back toward the car.  At other times when she has enough, she does her “butt plant.”  She just sits herself solidly down and refuses to move any further.
At that point we get the message and know the walk is over.
