Unfortunately, some Bald-Faced Hornets decided to make their big nest on the front of our carport. They are busily adding layer upon layer of their paper-like construction material onto the nest, making it bigger and bigger, and hanging lower and lower over the area where we frequently walk. I am really torn about what to do about it.
I would like to just let them get on with their lifecycle. We have had similar nests built in other places, but those nests were either higher up, or in places where we didn’t walk, so we didn’t have any problem with them.
Hopefully, nothing will make the hornets think we are endangering their nest, and they will be tolerant to us, the way we have been tolerant of them. Keep your fingers crossed.

Oh dear, there are the dog and cat to worry about as well. I doubt there is any way to get rid of it without SOMEONE getting hurt. So, be careful.
