During yesterday morning’s pond walk I came upon this Lupine; foliage heavy with dew. What really caught my eye was the discarded violet petals that had dropped from the bloom onto the leaves, adding a bit of color to the sight. Most of the Lupines have long since bloomed and formed smallish, pea-like pods, full of seeds, in hopes of propagating, but a few late bloomers still have flowers.
