The other day we took my visiting brothers and sisters to McBride to show off our fancy big library, which is unusual for such a small village. I thought they might peruse some of the discarded books on offer for just a donation, but I was completely surprised, when instead they spotted the puzzle table in the library where people can work to complete a jigsaw puzzle.
Seeing the puzzle seemed to inspire some deep desire to work on a puzzle, so instead of walking out of the library with some books, they had me check out a thousand-piece jigsaw puzzle to work on when we got back home. It didn’t take long for those random thousand pieces to be locked into their correct place in the image. By the next morning, the puzzle had been completed, then quickly disassembled, put back in the box, and our guests where eagerly awaiting another trip to the library so they could check out another jigsaw puzzle.
This whole jigsaw puzzle thing was a complete surprise to me. I didn’t realize that my siblings were such puzzle enthusiasts. Apparently, I did not inherent the puzzle gene, but it was gratifying to see my brothers and sisters so engrossed in the activity.
