Cracks were starting to appear in the clay soil of our garden, so I thought I had better turn on the water sprayer for the day. Later that afternoon, I walked by the garden and happened to glance in. It was a rather bizarre sight. The spray of the water drops were being backlit by the afternoon sun creating a gauzy background, and silhouetted in front of it were art nouveau-looking poppy bulbs on long stems. It all had a strange appeal to me so I got my camera and took this photo.
