I have always been fascinated by how the ever-changing light illuminating the landscape, creates such different feelings. This morning when I went outside to feed the birds, there was a yellowish-pink glow in the sky in the east. A bit later, as the sun rose a bit, it was lighting up sections of the mountains and the tips of the trees at the end of my pond. That is when I shot the photo above.
Forty-five minutes later, after I had finished painting, I looked outside and every thing had changed because the sky was now completely overcast with cloud. The mood of the scene I had photographed earlier had totally changed. I got out my camera and took a photo of the same scene. (below) It has a completely different feel.
