Scientists tell us that dreams are the result of brain cells getting rid of their wastes, while we are asleep. That may be, but for me it causes dreams to have an underlying theme of being very frustrated about something. There is some important situation that is hanging over my head, something that urgently needs to be done, and I am somehow prevented from dealing with it.
A lot of my re-occurring dreams take place at university. I have to go to take a final exam, but no matter what I try, I cannot remember what room it is taking place in. Another of my similar frustrating reoccurring dreams a situated in my high school. There is a class that I must get to and is about to start, but I am standing in front of my locker, and I can not remember the combination to open it.
One other memorable dream that has occurred several times, has to do with my cell phone. I urgently have to use it to make a call, but the screen that is on it that is unfamiliar to me, and no matter what I do, I can’t get rid of the screen, so I can make the call.
I don’t know if frustration is a common theme in other people’s dreams, but it sure is in mine. Sometimes the frustrations that occur in my dreams are so powerful, that when I do wake up, I am still feeling somewhat traumatized by those dream-produced frustrating situations.
